We are currently seeking a Truck Driver (Class A) in the Charlotte, NC area. The normal shift for this position is Monday-Friday, 5:00 am – 3:30 pm and overtime as needed.

The Truck Driver (Class A) is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of finished goods between company facilities, customers, and co-pack locations. This role also supports warehouse operations, trailer movements, yard checks, and shipping activities while ensuring compliance with all company safety standards and DOT regulations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Safely operate a company-owned Class A commercial vehicle.
  • Deliver finished goods to customers and co-pack facilities in a timely manner.
  • Pick up and transport materials while verifying load accuracy and completing required documentation.
  • Conduct pre-trip, post-trip, trailer, yard, and door safety inspections.
  • Maintain accurate driver logs and transportation records.
  • Communicate effectively with the warehouse team regarding deliveries, trailer movements, and daily activities.
  • Move trailers between company yards, docks, and customer locations as required.
  • Record trailer movements and capture information on daily driver logs.
  • Ensure trailers and truck cabs remain clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Report all accidents, incidents, safety concerns, and policy violations immediately.
  • Assist with loading and unloading products when necessary.
  • Operate a forklift safely and efficiently as needed.
  • Perform basic vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
  • Support facility security and maintain safe operating conditions.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Work overtime or adjusted schedules as needed to meet business demands.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications include:

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A)
  • Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience
  • Clean driving record with a strong commitment to safety
  • Ability to read directions, follow instructions, and navigate efficiently
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing paperwork
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation compliance requirements
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and move materials as needed
  • Ability to enter and exit trucks and trailers repeatedly throughout the day
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and warehouse environments
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods
